• What’s involved:

You will be the second point of contact for both internal and external customers of the whole HR Service.

You will be expected to resolve all queries that have been escalated, and cannot be dealt with, by the Customer Service Assistants on the Business Support Service Desk.

Via this seamless link you will deal with more complex issues that require a case management approach to ensure a customer focused, effective, accurate and timely HR service to internal and external customers.

In more detail you can expect to be handling queries in the following areas:

a. Recruitment and selection including advertising and pre-employment checks
b. Contracts of employment
c. Pay, terms and conditions
d. Relocation expenses
e. Applications for car loans and leases
f. Calculating annual leave entitlements
g. Calculating and advising on additional in service payments
h. Flexible working hours and flexible working arrangements
i. Sickness absence
j. Capability procedure.
k. Maternity and paternity leave
l. Long service awards
m. Leavers

The role will also extend to providing managers with advice on HR services and general employment law, ensuring that managers have a clear understanding of HR systems and processes and are fully informed as to both HR and their respective roles and responsibilities with regard to these.

You will also liaise with the Senior HR Assistants and HR Team Leaders, where necessary, to ensure that managers receive the appropriate level of advice and support on issues that require more complex advice and expertise.
